Amazon Prime as all we know is an international Streaming Platform debuted in India around 2016. In the first couple of years after it started its operations in India it was mainly dependent of Global content and had very less Hindi Web Series. Since 2018, It had made amends with few blockbusters including MirzapurThe Family Man and Panchayat. Let us now look some of the must watch web series in Amazon Prime.

Panchayat

Release Date: April, 2020
Streaming Platform - Amazon Prime
Number of Episodes: 16
Number of Seasons : 2
IMDB Rating: 8.9/10
Genre: Comedy
Main Cast: Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik

The series deals with the experiences of a engineering graduate boy from a city who is not familiar with village cultures, completing his graduation gets a low salary job of a Secretary of a Gram panchayat in a remote village called Phulera in Uttar Pradesh.

Each of the main characters Secretary (Jintendra Kumar),  Pradhan-Pati (Raghubir Yadav), Pradhan (Neena Gutpa),  Upa-Pradhan (Faisal Malik), Office Assistant (Chandan Roy) have been characterized and played very well by these characters.

In Season 2, they also introduced new characters like Rinky (Pradhan's daughter), Kranti Devi, MLA etc.

One might at times the episodes are slow faced, I feel since this is rural based theme and each character has been given its own space to develop, one would't mind this slow nature.

There was much wide gap between Season 1 and Season2 (was released in May 2022), due to Covid pandemic.

Hopefully Season 3 should get released next year.

Story 6: Cutting Chai
Cast: Arshad Warsi, Chitrangda Singh

In her 40s, Latika (Chitrangda Singh) is caught in the humdrum of marriage and motherhood and regrets not having fulfilled her dream of being a novelist. One eventful day she finds herself re-evaluating all her choices in life thus far, even her marriage. As bittersweet memories and 'what if' fantasies run parallel in her mind, she understands that questioning her past is futile, the answers all lie within her.

All stories are pretty good with strong characters and good actors, I personally like the Story1- Raat Rani, Story 5- I love Thane and the last one Story 6 - Cutting Chai.
